PSV vs Willem II (Eredivisie)
A Brabant derby on a Saturday evening: on 31 October 2026 PSV welcome Willem II from Tilburg to the Philips Stadion in the Eredivisie, the Dutch top league. Kick-off is at 18:45.
A derby in the province
Willem II comes from Tilburg, about half an hour west of Eindhoven, in the same province of North Brabant. That makes this match a regional derby, with neighbours who know each other well. Willem II is one of the oldest professional clubs in the Netherlands, named after King William II, who had close ties with Tilburg. For PSV fans the match against "the Tricolores" (named after their red, white and blue shirts) is a chance for bragging rights in Brabant.
PSV at home
PSV was founded in 1913 as the sports club of Philips employees and has played on the same site in the Strijp district ever since. The Philips Stadion holds about 35,000 spectators. The club won the European Cup in 1988 and has won the Dutch league many times. On match days the streets around the stadium fill with red and white, and the atmosphere inside is loud and proud.
Tickets
As with most PSV home matches, many tickets go to season-ticket holders and members with a PSV Club Card. Check the ticket information on psv.nl well in advance, and only buy through PSV's official channels: unofficial tickets can be refused at the gate. We don't list a price because ticket sales and prices depend on your membership.
No ticket? Many cafés in the city centre show PSV matches on big screens, which is the next best way to experience the match.
Match-day tips
- Check the kick-off time. Times can change for television. PSV's match centre always shows the latest time.
- Arrive early. Entry takes time; be at the stadium well before kick-off.
- Bring ID. You may be asked to show identification with your ticket.
- Leave the car at home. Streets around the stadium are busy and partly closed. Walking or cycling from the centre is usually fastest.
- Wear red and white, the colours of PSV.
Halloween and more
31 October is a busy Saturday evening in Eindhoven. It is Halloween, the Muziekgebouw hosts the Polish festival Witaj Eindhoven, and the bars of Stratumseind fill up after the match. If you come from outside the city, check your train home on ns.nl.
For newcomers
If you have just moved to Eindhoven, a match at the Philips Stadion is one of the best ways to understand the city's pride. The atmosphere is loud but generally friendly, and many families go together. An evening kick-off on a Saturday is ideal: you can have dinner in the city centre afterwards.
Getting there
The Philips Stadion is at Frederiklaan 10a, about a fifteen-minute walk from Eindhoven Centraal, and there is bike parking around the stadium.
