How We Work

How events get into the calendar, and how we make sure the information is right.

Where the events come from

Events reach the calendar in two ways. Our editors look them up in the official programmes of venues, museums, festivals and organisers. On top of that, anyone can submit an event or a venue through the form.

Every submission is checked

Nothing is published automatically. Before an event goes online, we check:

  • whether the date, time and venue match the official source;
  • whether the event really takes place in Eindhoven or the surrounding area;
  • whether the price and the link to tickets or information are correct;
  • whether the text contains no advertising, spam or misleading promises.

Every event shows who added it, when we last checked it and where the official information can be found.

Our own words, in English

We write the descriptions ourselves. They are based on the information from the organiser, but we never copy texts word for word. Many sources are only available in Dutch; we translate the facts and add the context international visitors need, such as the language of a performance. Where we are not sure about something, such as a start time that has not been announced yet, we say so honestly instead of guessing. Events whose dates are not yet confirmed stay offline until they are.

Changes and mistakes

Organisers sometimes change their programme. We keep the calendar up to date as well as we can, but always check the official website before you go. Spotted a mistake? Let us know and we will fix it as soon as possible.

No paid placement

The calendar is always in chronological order. Nobody can pay to be listed higher. Read more about who makes the site on About inEindhoven.com.

Submit something yourself

Organising something in Eindhoven? Submit your event or add a new venue. Past events stay available in the archive.
