PSV vs Go Ahead Eagles (Eredivisie)

On Saturday 28 November 2026, PSV play Go Ahead Eagles from Deventer at the Philips Stadion in the Eredivisie, the Dutch top league. Kick-off is at 18:45.

About the opponent

Go Ahead Eagles come from Deventer, a historic Hanseatic city on the river IJssel in the east of the Netherlands. The club is one of the oldest professional football clubs in the country, founded in 1902, and plays in red and yellow. Its supporters are known for their loyalty and their noisy away support, so expect a lively visitors' section.

For PSV, matches like this are about consistency: title races in the Eredivisie are often decided by results against clubs outside the traditional top three, not just by the big matches against Ajax and Feyenoord.

PSV at the Philips Stadion

PSV was founded in 1913 as the sports club of Philips employees and has played on the same site in the Strijp district ever since. The stadium holds about 35,000 spectators. The club won the European Cup in 1988 and has won the Dutch league many times. PSV fans proudly call themselves "boeren" (farmers), a nod to the club's Brabant roots.

Tickets

Many tickets for PSV home matches go to season-ticket holders and members with a PSV Club Card. Check the ticket information on psv.nl well in advance and only buy through PSV's official channels: tickets from unofficial sellers can be refused at the gate. We don't list a price, because availability and prices depend on your membership. No ticket? Many cafés in the city centre show PSV matches on big screens.

Match-day tips

  • Check the kick-off time. Times can change for television; PSV's match centre always shows the latest time.
  • Arrive early. Entry takes time; be at the stadium well before kick-off.
  • Bring ID. You may be asked to show identification with your ticket.
  • Dress warmly. Late November evenings in the stadium can be cold and damp.
  • Wear red and white, the colours of PSV.

A Saturday in Eindhoven

An evening kick-off on a Saturday leaves the day free. On 28 November you could visit the Van Abbemuseum, where artist Ei Arakawa-Nash gives performances during the day as part of the exhibition Museum as Sundial, and walk to the stadium in the late afternoon. After the match, the cafés of the city centre and Stratumseind are full of supporters.

For newcomers

If you have just moved to Eindhoven, a regular league match is often an easier first visit than a Champions League night or a match against Ajax: tickets can be easier to get, the atmosphere is still loud and passionate, and you get a good feel for what PSV means to the city. Many families go together.

Late November in the city

At the end of November, the city starts to prepare for the holidays. Sinterklaas has arrived, the first lights appear in the streets, and the concert halls are full. Check the calendar for November 2026 for more plans around the match.

Getting there

The Philips Stadion is at Frederiklaan 10a, about a fifteen-minute walk from Eindhoven Centraal. There is bike parking around the stadium. On match days the surrounding streets are busy and partly closed, so walking or cycling from the city centre is usually the quickest way to get there.
