In December 2026 there are 11 events in the Eindhoven calendar, spread over 5 venues. Most of them are in music (4), markets (2) and sports and outdoors (2).
Our tips to put in your diary: Museum as Sundial (Saturday 17 October, Van Abbemuseum), Sustainable Weekly Market on the Wilhelminaplein (Saturday 17 October, Wilhelminaplein) and PSV vs Atlético Madrid (Champions League) (Wednesday 9 December, Philips Stadion).
3 events are free, and 4 are fun with kids.
December is all about the holidays. On 5 December Dutch families celebrate Sinterklaas with presents and poems, and later in the month the city lights up for Christmas, with markets, concerts and festive dinners.
Many venues are open between Christmas and New Year, and New Year's Eve is celebrated with fireworks across the city. Check the calendar by month and the free events for festive plans.
