A European evening in Eindhoven European nights are something special at the Philips Stadion. The lights\, the anthem of the Champions League\, a full stadium and an opponent from one of the big football countries of Europe: for many PSV fans\, these are the best evenings of the season. Atlético Madrid\, from the Spanish capital\, is one of the regular forces in Spanish and European football\, known for its intense\, disciplined style of play. PSV has a proud European history of its own. In 1988 the club won the European Cup\, the predecessor of the Champions League\, beating Benfica on penalties in the final in Stuttgart. In that same season PSV also won the Dutch league and the Dutch cup. PSV in the Champions League in 2026–27 This season PSV plays several Champions League matches. At the time of writing\, PSV's match centre lists home matches against Club Brugge (4 November 2026)\, Atlético Madrid (9 December 2026) and VfB Stuttgart (27 January 2027)\, and away matches against FC Porto\, Real Madrid and Viking Stavanger. Dates and kick-off times of Champions League matches are set by UEFA\; the latest information is always on psv.nl. Tickets Champions League tickets are in very high demand. Many seats go to season-ticket holders and members with a PSV Club Card\, and the remaining tickets usually sell out quickly. Check the ticket information on psv.nl well in advance and buy only through official channels: tickets from unofficial sellers may be refused at the gate. We don't list a price because availability and prices depend on your membership. No ticket? Many cafés in the city centre show Champions League matches. Watching with a crowd of PSV supporters is the next best thing to being in the stadium. Match-day tips Arrive early. Security checks take longer at European matches. Be at the stadium well before kick-off. Bring ID. You may be asked to show identification with your ticket. Dress warmly. In December an evening match can be very cold. Plan your way home. The match ends around 23:00. Walking or cycling to the city centre is easy\; if you come from outside Eindhoven\, check the last train on ns.nl. Wear red and white. These are PSV's colours. For newcomers If you work in Eindhoven\, you may find that the whole office talks about nothing else on the day of a Champions League match. Going to the stadium\, or watching with colleagues in a café\, is a great way to join in. Even if you have never followed football\, the atmosphere of a European night is something to experience. Getting there The Philips Stadion is at Frederiklaan 10a\, about a fifteen-minute walk from Eindhoven Centraal. On match days the streets around the stadium are busy\, and walking or cycling is the fastest way to get there.
