DESCRIPTION:Ludovico Einaudi's piano music is loved by millions\, from concert halls to film soundtracks and streaming playlists. On Friday 27 November 2026 pianist Iris Hond and the ensemble Kamerata Zuid bring it to the Hertog Jan Zaal of the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. Einaudi's Domino\, in full At the heart of the evening is Domino\, a solo concert by the Italian composer Ludovico Einaudi\, performed in full. Einaudi is one of the most popular composers of our time: his minimalist\, melodic piano pieces have become the soundtrack of films\, television series and countless quiet evenings at home. His music is easy to love\, but not easy to play well. It depends on touch\, timing and atmosphere. Iris Hond gives the music a new interpretation\, and Einaudi himself has praised her playing\, calling one of her performances among the most beautiful performances of his music. That is high praise from a composer who has heard his work played by pianists all over the world. More than Einaudi The programme also includes Iris Hond's own compositions and well-known works by pianist-composers such as Alexander Scriabin and Sergei Rachmaninoff\, played by Kamerata Zuid. That makes the evening a journey from late-Romantic Russian piano music to contemporary minimalism. Kamerata Zuid Kamerata Zuid is an ensemble from the south of the Netherlands that celebrates its tenth anniversary with this programme. This concert is a perfect introduction to classical music for people who think classical music isn't for them. Einaudi's music is familiar\, emotional and calm\, and the combination with Rachmaninoff and Scriabin shows where that style comes from. Experienced concert-goers will enjoy hearing a familiar repertoire in a fresh interpretation. Good to know There is no dress code. The interval drink is included: order it at the bar before the concert so it is ready at the interval. Arrive on time\, because latecomers may have to wait for a suitable moment to enter.
