DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 31 January 2027\, singer-songwriter Heather Nova brings The Orchard Tour to the Hertog Jan Zaal of the Muziekgebouw Eindhoven. For many music lovers in the Netherlands\, she is an old friend: her intimate\, melodic songs have been loved here for decades. Who is Heather Nova? Heather Nova grew up in Bermuda and became known in the 1990s as a singer-songwriter with a clear\, high voice and songs that move between delicate acoustic ballads and powerful\, guitar-driven rock. Albums such as Oyster and Siren made her a household name in Europe\, and the Netherlands has always been one of the countries where her music found a particularly warm audience. Over the years she has released many albums\, toured widely\, and built a loyal following that comes back to see her again and again. Her songs are about love\, nature\, the sea and the search for a place to belong\, themes that suit a concert hall like the Muziekgebouw\, where every word and every guitar note can be heard clearly. The Orchard Tour This concert is part of The Orchard Tour. Whether you know every song or are discovering her music for the first time\, a concert in a seated hall with excellent acoustics is a beautiful way to experience Heather Nova's voice. The venue has not announced a support act at the time of writing. Good to know Concerts in the Hertog Jan Zaal are usually seated\, so you can sit back and enjoy the music. Arrive in time to find your seat and get a drink at the bar. There is no dress code. Since the concert is on a Sunday evening\, it ends early enough to get home at a reasonable hour. For internationals Heather Nova sings in English\, and the Muziekgebouw's website and staff work in English too\, which makes this an easy and relaxed night out if you are new in Eindhoven. A singer-songwriter concert is also a good way to discover the Muziekgebouw\, one of the finest concert halls in the south of the Netherlands. Make an evening of it The Muziekgebouw is right in the city centre\, so you can easily combine the concert with dinner. The restaurants around the Markt\, the Kleine Berg and the 18 Septemberplein are within a few minutes' walk. On winter evenings many of them are cosy places to sit inside.
